| Worship
is so much more than music. But music is one
of the best ways to worship because it is heart-to-heart
communication. Beethoven said of his Missa Solemnis:
"It came from the heart, may it go to the heart."
Music also transcends regular language by
expressing the inexpressible. Aldous Huxley suggested that
"after silence, that which comes closest to expressing
the inexpressible is music."
And, music is tied to our memories. Who doesn't
associate a special song with a special person, place, or
event?
The music we produce at Unkept Records is
meant for congregational worship. Toward this end, we attempt
to compose melodies that are interesting but singable -
and lyrics that are challenging but accessible. Our hope
is that our songs and recordings can be transcendent vehicles
for your heart-to-Heart communication with the God of all.
